Striving to improve the patient experience, Dr. John Looper and Dr. Steven Lester treat cancer patients with compassion, using the latest and most accurate equipment. In the last three years, the two board-certified radiation oncologists have opened two brand new, state-of-the-art facilities. In 2004, Dr. Looper and Dr. Lester opened Central Florida Cancer Care Center in Sanford, and this October they began caring for patients at Orlando Cancer Institute in Orlando. Both centers offer the latest advances in radiation therapy, including Intensity-Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT) and Image-Guided Radiation Therapy (IGRT)—therapies that allow clinicians the ability to carefully target tumor cells while minimizing the amount of healthy tissue that is treated.
